OUR MISSION

Through grassroots engagement and bold leadership, Oregon Freedom Coalition will reclaim Oregon by promoting economic freedom, personal responsibility, public safety, educational excellence, environmental stewardship, family values, and equality of opportunity. We strive to build an Oregon that is affordable, better-educated, business-friendly, healthy, and safe. We are guided by the following principles:

  • Inherent Rights and Human Dignity: Every individual possesses self-evident rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These rights are fundamental and government exists to protect and defend them.

  • Limited Government: A smaller government with less intervention in economic and personal life fosters individual freedom and economic growth.

  • Personal Responsibility: Individuals should be accountable for their actions and contribute to society, while recognizing and supporting those unable to fully care for themselves.

  • Voluntary Community: Strong, voluntary local communities are the foundation of a flourishing society. Decisions made locally empower people and respect human dignity.

  • Rule of Law and Justice: A just legal framework ensures order, protects property rights, upholds freedom, and affirms the supremacy of the U.S. Constitution. Justice must be fair, equal, and free from bias, with an unwavering commitment to our 2nd Amendment rights.

  • Economic Freedom: Free markets and private enterprise promote innovation and prosperity. Government should minimize interference in economic activities.

  • Family and Tradition: Families are the bedrock of society. Protecting parental rights and preserving cultural and social traditions strengthens communities.

  • Skepticism of Radical Change: Societal change must be implemented thoughtfully and carefully, with respect for history and awareness of both intended and unintended consequences.

  • Active Management of Natural Resources: True conservation means balancing preservation with responsible use. Let the people who know the land take care of it for present and future generations.

  • Equality of Opportunity: A diverse society thrives when individuals have equal opportunities to succeed. Attempts to enforce equality of outcome lead to stagnation or tyranny.
