Letter to Lawmakers: Make Girls Sports Fair and Safe

Dear Members of the 83rd Oregon Legislative Assembly,

It is time for you to take a stand and defend Oregon’s girls. Make girls sports fair and safe.

There has been a state sanctioned invasion of girls sports by biological males that identify as female.

Many female athletes across Oregon have been forced to compete against and lose to these males. The lack of fairness has limit these girls’ opportunities to compete and earn scholarships.

Many female athletes have been forced to share locker rooms with and change in front of these males.

By allowing this to occur, Oregon is endangering our girls.

Many girls have been left discouraged and frightened, believing that their state will not protect them and will punish them for speaking up.

This is not the legacy we want to create.

This is not about hate.

This is about compassion for the girls that deserve a level playing field; one that is fair, competitive, and rooted in biological reality.

Compassion for the girls that deserve to compete and dream big without being threatened.

It is time for you to restore dignity, fairness, and safety to girls sports. Protect Oregon’s girls. Make girls sports fair and safe.
